DRC La Tache Grand Cru (TornLabel, Wax Broken) 1976 3000ml/Btl

Allen Meadows: I hadn't had this in a number of years and bycoincidence I had it side by side with the same wine in magnum (seethe 750 ml review herein). I was surprised to find that there wasreally very little difference between the two and while the magnumwas slightly more vibrant, they were otherwise similar. There is alovely aged burg nose of Asian spices, dried rose petal and plentyof sous bois with pretty, nicely spicy flavors that still have sometannin evident on the lingering if slightly robust finish. I wouldbe inclined to drink up though it will certainly continue to hold.Tasted a number of times but only once recently.
