Antonio Galloni: Pacenti's 2007 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva isvery pretty. Firm yet well-integrated tannins support the fruit ina Riserva that appears to have the depth and structure to developnicely for a number of years. Anise, tobacco, leather and savoryherb notes add complexity over time. All in all, this mid-weightRiserva is a fine effort from Franco Pacenti. It will be veryinteresting to see where the 2007 Riserva goes. It certainlyappears to have potential, not to mention considerable earlyappeal. Pacenti gave the 2007 35 months in cask.
