Allen Meadows: The cool and restrained nose only grudgingly offers
up notes of green apple, lemon and wet stone scents. The
broad-shouldered flavors possess outstanding richness and serious
volume as the mid-palate brims with mouth coating dry extract
before culminating in a tension-filled, balanced and wonderfully
persistent, indeed even explosive finish. Note well that at least
some patience is strongly advised.
