from a blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc by one of the
outlier proprietors of the entire Bordeaux region, Englishman
Jonathan Malthus. He knows how to recognize good fruit, that's for
sure, as this wine is clearly made in a style meant to deliver
pleasure early in its life while still holding up for a few years.
With elegant, rich, fragrant notes of cigar box, tobacco leaf and
black fruit, this is a delightful wine with moderate weight but
plenty of fruit. Drink it over the next several years.
