Description
Allen Meadows: Some bricking with a still bright ruby core. There
is a mildly leafy note to the now almost entirely secondary nose
that reflects notes of spice, herbal tea, earth and a hint of
sandalwood. The well-delineated, intense and almost delicate middle
weight flavors exhibit a subtle minerality before culminating in a
solidly complex and persistent if ever-so-slightly drying finish.
This is certainly pretty but like a lot of '96s today the balance
isn't quite perfect. I would further note that this has reached it
apogee though at the same time there is certainly no rush to drink
up as it should hold well for some years to come.
