Allen Meadows: There is still a trace of wood toast to the mostly
red berry fruit, spice and pungent earth-suffused nose. I like the
ample size, weight, power, muscle and concentration of the
relatively big-bodied flavors that possess outstanding complexity
on the hugely long and well-balanced finish. Overall, this is an
impressively intense Clos de Vougeot that displays excellent
balance and harmony. As such, despite the fact that this is still
on the way up, it's so well-balanced that it could be enjoyed young.
