Allen Meadows: A discreet application of wood spice frames a ripe,densely fruited and very fresh nose of red pinot liqueur with thatwonderful wet stone component that adds lift to the nose and thedelicious, mouth coating and tension-filled flavors. Thisterminates in a detailed, focused, firm and linear finish ofimpeccable balance. Like the Poissenots, there is a striking senseof harmony here that is most appealing. In a word, terrific.
