Allen Meadows: This is also exceptionally fresh with ripe and spicy
dark berry fruit that displays whispers of truffle, stone and
underbrush. The stony character is front and center on the textured
and relatively precise middle weight flavors that are supported by
phenolically ripe tannins that are more refined than those of the
Mazis before terminating in a balanced and mildly austere finish
that delivers outstanding length. Like the Mazis, this offers both
excellent quality and value in an ageworthy package.
