Allen Meadows: A pungent nose of reduction and wood toast make for
an unreadable set of aromas. There is however good freshness and
verve to the mildly wood-infused middle weight flavors that possess
a suave mid-palate with plenty of palate coating dry extract that
buffers the moderately firm tannins on the chalky and balanced
finish. The quality villages should reward 7 to as much as 10 years
of cellar time.
