Description

Allen Meadows: This too is very ripe with sauvage and pungent
animale notes plus an incredibly complex mix of crushed dried
herbs, truffle, damp earth, coffee and violets. The big, intense,
powerful, even robust flavors display perfect balance and a subtle
note of torrefaction and it's remarkable how such a powerful wine
can remain so harmonious. There is length to burn here with a
slightly austere, almost strict character at the moment but the
underlying material is so good that this should blossom with time.
