Allen Meadows: The nose has always been the best part of this wineand remains so today even with its spicy and now moderatelysecondary aromas delivered in an ample oak veneer. The relativelybig-bodied and solidly concentrated flavors possess very goodcomplexity and an attractive sappiness though the mouth coatingfinish is unlikely to ever completely shed its considerable tannicstructure. In sum, this is somewhat disappointing given the generalhigh quality level achieved by this domaine in this period. Mostlyconsistent notes over the lifetime of this wine.
