Gros Frere et Soeur Richebourg Grand Cru 2006 Cote de Nuits Burgundy 750ml/Btl 12/case

Description

Allen Meadows: There is still just enough wood to notice on the
otherwise elegant nose that remains reserved, cool and classy with
violet and rose petal notes adding sophistication to the spicy
black fruit and earth-suffused nose. The spicy character continues
onto the rich, full and powerful flavors that possess a suave mouth
feel yet plenty of grip on the robust and admirably long finish
where the wood resurfaces. Overall there is more wood than I
personally prefer but given that this is still on the way up I
suspect that ultimately it will be successfully integrated. Note
that I have extended my expected initial drinking window by a few
years. Tasted twice in the last 3 years with consistent results.
