Allen Meadows: A beautifully complex, expressive and still freshnose is beginning to display some secondary development on the ripeand spicy black fruit aromas that are trimmed in just enough woodto notice. There is good richness to the round and generous ifstill markedly robust flavors that possess an impressively densemid-palate before culminating in an ever-so-mildly rustic finishthat offers very fine depth and persistence. Interestingly thisbottle displayed none of the dryness that another bottle displayedin 2009 and thus was noticeably more harmonious. For my taste thishas almost reached its apogee but even so I would be inclined toallow it another 2 to 3 years of cellar time.
