Description
Neal Martin: Tasted at the de Myrat vertical at the property. The2005 Chateau de Myrat needed some aeration to rid itself of SO2,but it is worth persevering, because underneath lie attractivepineapple, quince and marmalade scents, orange blossom emergingwith time. The palate is medium-bodied with honey, quince and atouch of bitter orange. While the nose does not quite live up tothe previous bottle that I tasted, the 2005 could be considered tobe the first vintage to relive the glories of yesteryear, beforethe vineyard fell into deprivation and flirted with extinction.Drink this now and over the next decade.
