Allen Meadows: There is a slightly roasted note to the fully maturearomas that, while attractively spicy, lack freshness. Similarly,there is a lack of verve to the round, suave and velvety flavorsthat do offer good richness though the finish is somewhat flat andborderline heavy. To be sure, this is by no means a bad wine but bythe elevated standards of what one expects from a fine Richebourg,this falls well short. I would advise drinking this up sooner thanlater.
