Allen Meadows: Here the cool and highly restrained nose is bothmore densely fruited and a bit more complex as well if a bit lesselegant because like the Mazoyeres this is clearly Gevrey in basiccharacter. The spicy and overtly muscular big-bodied flavorsdisplay even more minerality on the lush but refined finish that isseriously powerful and persistent. This is impressive because itpossesses imposing size and weight yet the palate impressionremains exquisitely well-balanced.
