Description
Robert Parker: This could turn out to be the finest Domaine de
Chevalier since the 1983 and 1985. Displaying less oak than normal,
the big, honeyed, cherry, smoky, and melon-scented nose is followed
by a full-bodied, powerful, dense, highly concentrated wine that
lingers on the palate for nearly 45 seconds. This should be one of
the bigger, more concentrated and powerful Domaine de Chevaliers
made in the last 20 years. Given the performance of past top
vintages, expect this wine to close up for 10-15 years after
bottling. It will age well for 25-30+ years. Last tasted 3/97.
