Description

Robert Parker: The 1983 Canon has reached full maturity. The wine's
dark garnet/ruby color reveals some rust/amber at the edge. The
nose is forthcoming, with scents of leather, earth, spice, sweet
plums and fruitcake. In the mouth, the wine possesses good
richness, heady, alcoholic clout, low acidity, and rustic tannin in
the finish. This wine has matured quickly, but should hold (if
stored in a cool cellar) for another 10-12 years.
