Description

Allen Meadows: Deep ruby with purple highlights. An explosive nose
of spice and black fruit aromas leads to rich, full, almost robust
flavors of considerable power and outstanidng depth of extract with
abundant minerality and superb length. Both the nose and tannins
are quite ripe and it's clear that the additional hang time was
beneficial as this is really most impressively well-balanced. A
terrific effort and one of the top wines of the vintage in Volnay.
This will require at least until 2008 to be drinking well but it
should last a good deal longer.
