Allen Meadows: Here the wood is more obvious and no longer subtle
as it surrounds the ripe red and dark berry fruit aromas that are
clearly infused with an intense, indeed almost pungent minerality
that continues onto the relatively big, firm and tautly muscled
medium full-bodied flavors that culminate in a persistent, mouth
coating and chewy finish. This is a relatively robust example that
should reward 6 to 8 years of cellar time.
