Allen Meadows: As it usually is, this is aromatically less
expressive than the Charmes and Combottes at present with much more
deeply pitched and cooler red berry fruit aromas that are liberally
laced with soil and mineral tones that dissolve into tautly
muscled, rich, full and solidly powerful flavors that possess
excellent length and a real sense of underlying tension.
