Description
Allen Meadows: This is sufficiently vegetal that it significantly
detracts from the otherwise complex nose of red berries, earth,
game, leather and spice hints. There is good volume and plenty of
punch to the still powerful and vibrant medium-bodied flavors that
offer enough complexity and length to be more than just
interesting. Unfortunately the vegetal component extends to the
ever-so-slightly warm finish and it's enough to offset the other
attributes, at least for this taster. While this will easily
continue to age, it's unclear as to whether the vegetal character
will only become worse with time and thus I would suggest drinking
this sooner than later. Tasted only once since barrel.
