Description

Allen Meadows: This still exhibits the barest trace of wood that
sets off the mildly exotic yellow orchard fruit that displays a
touch of evolution that isn't entirely consistent with the general
freshness of the '08 vintage. While it certainly wasn't premox, I
don't believe that the aromatic profile of this bottle was entirely
representative. There is excellent intensity to the
mineral-suffused and well-detailed flavors that are both powerful
and explosive on the solidly persistent finish that is quite
austere and bone dry, which is curious given the ripeness of the
nose. My score offers the benefit of the doubt.
